Hôtel François 1er

The receptionist was exceptional as I had to walk 3 blocks to ask how to get there by car! She explained clearly, marking the route in and out on the map. She also answered all the other questions we had about the city. Excellent to be able to reserve a car park space next to the hotel. Good breakfast, however, as before, hotels need to be aware that people are allergic to cows milk products and supply alternative products for cereals, tea, and coffee. A clean room and comfortable bed apart from the shelf behind it.

Amazing experience, from start to finish. The hotel is very well decorated which alone is worth a visit. The rooms are spacious, clean and very comfortable. The hotel is located close enough to the center of La Rochelle (5' walk) but conveniently distant to be quiet and tranquil. The private parking is a big plus in La Rochelle. The staff are all very kind and attentive. The breakfast was also a highlight - with fresh fruit and amazing local brioche (gache)! We loved La Rochelle and Hotel Francois 1er, we will certainly be back!

Hotel Froncois Premier is a very good Hotel in the center of La Rochelle. Very pleasant staff and confortable quiet room. We will not hesitate to stay here again

Fabulous location, lovely clean rooms with a really comfortable bed and pillows. The standard room was really small so we paid extra and had a bigger room with a bigger bathroom so the room felt lovely... could do with a bit of tlc, new bath, woodwork and walls could do with some fresh paint... But we'll definitely stay again, staff were really friendly, parking facilities and just great location.. thoroughly enjoyed our stay...

Best accommodation on the whole trip: we are 2 bikers on the Velodyssee, we were looking for a quiet place to rest and safe for our bikes. This Hotel offered all we needed beside qualified and very gentle personnel, clean and modern room, great position since it is in the centre away from noisy and overcrowded streets, best quality/price ratio. We loved it.
